ArtBeat - September 30th

Every ArtBeat has a concert and the performance for this event was Ambrosia.  We really enjoyed listening some radio hits of the '70s and '80s from this classic band. I personally enjoyed it a lot. My dad loves this music. I grew up hearing some of their  songs that made them famous including "You're the Only Woman"  which is my favorite. Hearing this band's music made me travel in my mind directly to Mexico where my family lives and brought me amazing memories about my childhood. I used to spend a lot of time listening to this music with my dad and my big sister. Some other great song were "Biggest Part of Me," as well as "Holdin' on to Yesterday," "Nice Nice, Very Nice," "One Eighty" and a much more.  The concert was so good. People really loved it. Even though we had some wind and rain, no one left until the concert was over. It was that good.

Before the concert started people stopped by the artisan fair to look and buy some amazing craft items from our great craft artists. We had from hair accessories to clothing, cup cakes stand, photos and even some cool glass art made by two very talented guys that travel all the way from Salt Lake City to do some events around the Valley.
This time, I want to introduce you one of our vendors. She’s an amazing person and she really makes pretty cute things.  Her name is Veronica Murillo and here is the interview we had with her.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) of two. Moved to Vegas five year ago from Italy. I love crafting and blogging during my free time.
What do you make? Do you have an online shop?
On my shop nikycoleshop you can find magnetic tie backs for curtains, hair accessories, bookmark clips, wine glass charms, wreaths and cake and cupcake stands.
Apart from crating things, what do you do?
I’m a full time mom and part time blogger :)
Where does your inspiration come from?
From my six years old daughter and her “very pink” and girlie room!
What does handmade mean to you?
Handmade is making something lovely using everyday materials and objects.
Who has been most influential in your crafts?
My kids :)

Also, I want to share some of the pics of the rest of our vendors and the concert. Enjoy!

**PLEASE, keep checking our blog. We’ll be posting pictures and interviews of our vendors. We’ll see you next Friday October 7th. Come and enjoy this  Friday night community and cultural event. Perfect for all the family.
